Im a native Houstonian, raised on the eastside of Houston. I started my career professionally on January 2, 2000, in a beautifully designed barber and beauty salon. "The Chiseler". I learned alot, the ins and outs of good and bad business in this industry. I observed every baber and stylist to critique there good and bad habits. Learning that every client needs to be treated with the same amount of respect despite their financial status, also this artistic skill is GOD given, so in saying that just know that there are a lot of barbers out there but only a few Professionals. Last but not least, the true definition of a great, good, bad and terrible haircut (LOL). For the five years i was there my wheels were turning on how i can make this industry better from not only my stand point but from the clients view as well. In 2004, The Chiseler closed its doors do to bad money and management decisions. It was a disappointing time but as every director says "the show must go on"! For some odd reasons Aleif was a magnetic vision for my business, which later i would find out why. In the summer of 2004, i found myself on the corner of hwy 6 & Empanada at Positive Hair Salon, owned and operated to suit the needs of hair care for women. So now Im in a salon of all women, what an experience, which i truly learned from. As a kid my father instilled in me the desire of entrepreneurship, which help give birth to Image Kafe'. Leaving Positive Hair and stepping out on faith in 2006 gave me a whole new meaning of business. Starting small and i mean real small, Image Kafe' begins!
